Austin High Girls Lacrosse is excited to welcome Terry McCarthy to our club as head coach with a resume packed with experience and success. Entering his 12th season coaching women’s lacrosse, Terry joins us from the Texas State University’s (TXST) Women’s Lacrosse Team where he served as head coach for the past 5 years, with an overall 32-26 collegiate record. In the 2016 season, TXST finished first in Conference, Runner-Up in the Championship Tournament and nationally ranked #13 (of 147) by the IWLCA Coaches Poll. Prior to this, Terry coached girls at middle school, high school JV and Varsity levels at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School, Bowie High School and St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. In 2009, Terry was selected as head coach of the Texas All-Stars in the State High School Tournament. Terry counts lacrosse legends Lindsay Munday, Jen Adams and Cindy Timchal as mentors. His role models include Dennis Short, Joe Spallina and Gary Gait.

We also welcome Jennie Biles to AHS, and we are happy Leslee Feldman and Evelyne Orlander will be returning to our coaching staff next year as well.

Our fall meeting for players and parents will be Tuesday, September 6th at 6:00 PM in Conference Room D, 2nd Floor, AHS. For more information on Austin High Girls Lacrosse log on to www.ahsgirlslacrosse.com.
